- Type: Vertical, Aircooled, totally enclosed, compression ignition, four-stroke cycle, cold starting diesel engine.
- Combustion: Open type combustion chamber in the aluminium alloy Piston.
- Cooling System: Air cooling by a fan fixed on flywheel and through streamline designed cowling.
- Fuel System: Gravity feed through a ceramic filter in fuel tank and an efficient replaceable paper element type fuel filter. A fuel strainer is provided at fuel tank inlet.
- Bearings: BHA-3 & BHA-4 Engines have Bush type Main Bearing. (2) BHA-1B, BHA-2B, BHA-3B & BHA-7B Engines have Taperred Roller Main Bearings.
- Rotation: Standard rotation is clockwise facing the flywheel. Anti-clockwise rotation can be provided on demand.
- Drive: Drive at rated speed can be taken through a coupling or pulley fitted on flywheel. Half the rated speed drive can be provided.
- Accessories: An oil bath air filter of ample size is provided for efficient filteration of air. Pepper pot type exhaust silencer is provided for controlling exhaust noise. Starting handle is provided for hand starting. A set of tools is provided for routine maintenance.
