Aircooled Engine upto 20 HP Single Cylinder/Twin Cylinder
- Casing: The volute type casing is scientifically designed to produce a smooth flow, with gradual changes in velocity, ensuring the efficiency of the pump. The casing is cast of dense, high tensile and close grained cast iron. It has ample strength to withstand maximum working pressure. Each pump is hydraulically tested.
- Impeller: The impeller is of the shrouded type, single suction and is made of high grade cast iron. It is accurately machined on the outside and the interior passages are hand-finished. All impellers are statically and dynamically balanced.
- Stand (supporting frame): It is robust and sturdy and has ample strength. It carries the shaft, ball bearings and the gun-metal sleeve which forms a rigid support for the pump.
- Stuffing box: The suffing box is of liberal depth preventing air leakage completely, ensuring a high suction lift. The gland packing and the lantern ring in between them, besides keeping the shaft cool, prevents any leakage of air.
- Shaft: It is made of special shaft steel (EN 8), accurately finished to exact dimensions and is of ample size to transmit maximum power without vibration.
- Bearings: Heavy-duty ball-bearings have a large factor of safety to withstand any radial or thrust load that may be imposed upon them by the pump. The are grease-packed and grease cups are provided for continuous lubrication.
- Base Plate: The cast iron base plates are accurately machined on the top. They are provided with four lugs with drilled holes.
- Rotation: Standard rotation of the pump is anti-clockwise when looking from the driving end. Pumps with clockwise rotation can also be supplied on specific request. The direction of rotation is indicated by means of an arrow on the casings of the pumps.
Batliboi engine is overhead valve, vertical, single cylinder, four stroke, cold start, water cooled, totally enclosed high speed engine.
- Crankcase: Is made of high grade cast iron.
- Cylinder block: Is made of high grade cast iron. A wet type, fine grained cast iron liner is fitted in it.
- Cylinder head: Is made of high grade cast iron and is fitted with removable valve guides.
- Crankshaft: Is die forged and is made of high tensile steel. It is balanced efficiently by two balance weights bolted on to it.
- Piston: Is made of aluminum alloy and has open type combustion chamber in it.
- Bearings: The main bearings are steel backed white metal-lined bushed. Top half of Big End Bearing is steel backed copper lead with overlay plated shell while the bottom half is steel backed white metal-lined shell. Small end bush as well as Rocker arm bushes are gun-metal or steel backed leaded bronze.
- Fuel System: Fuel is supplied by gravity feed from engine mounted fuel tank through double filter.
- Lubricating Systems: A plunger type pump supplies oil under pressure to Main Bearings, Big End Bearings and Camshaft Bearing. A bypass filter is provided for filtering the lubricating oil.
- Governing: A centrifugal Governor, mounted on the camshaft gearwheel, governs the speed of the engine within the requisite limits.
- Cooling System: Engine cooling can be arranged by run through water supply, radiator or cooling tank.
- Starting: Hand starting enables the user to start the engine instantly from cold without additional help.
